Class Cancellation Policy
Due to the economics and complexities of holding each class, if a Fig Tree class does not have at least five (5) students enrolled prior to the class start date, we may need to cancel that class for that trimester, or possibly for the entire year. If this occurs, we will provide clear communication to impacted families, and we'll make every effort to find another class that works for each family.
If, after a cancellation, we are unable to place a family in a new class due to scheduling or other conflicts, we will offer a full refund. We greatly appreciate all of our families' patience as we grow.
Refund Policy: Pre-K through 6th grade
Fig Tree’s operational budget for the year is set based on the registrations we receive. We hire staff and commit to commercial leases and rental contracts in response to those registrations. We are therefore able to accommodate refund requests for Pre-K through 6th grade as follows:
Before July 1: 100% refund of total tuition, less $50 processing fee
Between July 1 - August 31: 50% refund of total tuition
September 1 and after: No refund
Refund Policy: B’nai Mitzvah
Due to the curated resources and 1:1 counseling provided to B'nai Mitzvah families upon registration, we are able to accommodate refund requests for B'nai Mitzvah registrations as follows:
Before July 1: 100% refund of total tuition, less $250 resource fee
Between July 1 - August 31: 50% refund of total tuition
September 1 and after: No refund
Remote Learning Policy
In the event that it becomes necessary to close Fig Tree classroom facilities (due to global pandemic or any other threat to the safety and well-being of our students, teachers and staff), all Fig Tree classes will transition to remote learning. Refunds will not be granted for classes that transition to remote learning, since the teaching time and educational content will continue as scheduled.
Any exceptions to the above policies must be confirmed in writing with Executive Director prior to the start of the school year or trimester.
